Elizabeth Densmore
Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kelowna?
I am originally from Hamilton, Ont. and have been living in the Okanagan for almost 25 years. I reside now in West Kelowna.
Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
I have a core group of friends I enjoy getting together to do different activities. Some I meet for coffee or a meal. (I love food so anytime morning till evening). I also have close friends I enjoy going for walks with their furry friends.
If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
I want to visit Greece. I love to see it by land and cruise ship to see all the small islands.
What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
If I can only pick one it would be Georgie Girl. Angie and her entire staff always make me feel when I go to the store as one of the gal pals. Takes me hours to browse through all the fun and fabulous fashion choices.
What is your favourite activity?
Staycations. Visiting places around the Okanagan. I like to explore new place and finding local eateries and speciality shops. Small town flare that offers hiking and biking spots, outdoor events such as all the different farmers markets, musicals, or local businesses.
If you had to choose: pizza, tacos, or burgers?
If I have to choose a burger wins. Nothing like a juicy burger topped off with all the fixings.
What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
I guess putting on a skort (shorts/skirt) in Lululemon on backwards. Instead of pointing out the confusion the sales girls got a good laugh at my expense.
What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
Going back to college after 25 years and completing my studies.
Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
When my family went camping we build fires to melt marshmallows on sticks. More messy than good. My brothers and I would just wash ourselves off in the lake that was steps from our campsite.
Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I have been an active participant with many organizations as a board member or active volunteer. A few are BC Women Lead, Vernon Women In Business, Okanagan Valley Entrepreneur Society, Kindale Developmental Association, and West Kelowna Women of Influence.

We all have a voice. We all have a right to be heard and listened to.
What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?
I enjoy going to the assortments of festival events.
Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
I enjoy walking along the boardwalk in downtown Kelowna. There is always so much activity to distract and stimulate me at the same time.
Where would you like to see positive change in Kelowna and why?
More affordable housing for everyone. Not only for street people (yes it is important they have a place to call home) but for the working poor. It is really tough to make ends meet when there is more month than money to keep a roof over an individual.
If you were granted one wish for work or in life, what would it be?
To have unlimited resources to do what I want when I want. In return give back all the riches I have acquired.
Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
Years ago living in the Albert Rockies, the boundaries were not very clear between wildlife and humans. One morning as I walked down a path with a full moon lighting the sky, a pack of hungry wolves surrounded me.
