Meet Brian. He's originally from America but has lived in Victoria for most of his life. He moved to Prince George in the summer of 2013.
Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
I'd have to say, my friends. I don't get much time to spend with my friends because they all live in Victoria and are usually busy. I only visit Victoria once every few months for a week, so there isn't much opportunity to see them.
What is your favourite local store in Prince George and why?
Probably Sound Factory. Every time I walk in there, the people are very pleasant and quite happy to assist me with whatever help I need.
Describe yourself in one word.
Resolute.
If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Probably a nice warm beach to get a respite from this winter's unyielding weather. Maybe California where I could visit a few of my best friends.
What is your favourite activity in Prince George?
I'd say eating. There are a select few restaurants that I frequently eat at which I believe to be very good!
What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
Well, my brother's playing of the drums is what got me into drums initially, so I'd say he indirectly inspired me to experiment with what turned out to become one of my biggest passions.
Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
The nostalgia of places I've visited when I was young bring back strong feelings, so those places are my favourite childhood memory!
Where would you sneak away to in Prince George to spend some time alone?
Maybe I'd spend a few hours at Long and McQuade playing the electronic drums.
Where would you like to see positive change in Prince George and why?
I'd like to see all the homeless people get sheltered. I think there's plenty of open lodging for them and the winters here are way too harsh for people to be sleeping on the streets.
What do you think makes Prince George great?
The people are very down-to-earth.
What are 3 things on your bucket list?
1. I'd like to have a steady and reliable career doing what I love, drumming
2. Get married and have kids
3. Become proficient with instruments other than drums. I've currently taken up piano and guitar as well.

What is the name of your business/organization?
Bagrov Studios.
Why did you get into/start this business?
I love drumming and I'd like to show people how to enjoy the drums and music like I do.
What is the goal of your business?
To drum daily and make a career out of it, and for others to have fun and learn to play an amazing instrument.
If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
This is a hard question to answer. On the one hand, I've made many mistakes in my life and I certainly wouldn't make them again, but on the other hand, my mistakes have led me to who I am now which I think is important.
What do you always find yourself saying?
'I love you'
Tell us your best piece of life advice.
Seek the truth. It's out there and it's worth the hardships and the journey to find it.
If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
Probably Luke Holland or Chad Szeliga. They are very talented drummers and they seem like pretty nice people. I think I'd have a fun day and learn a lot from them!
Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
As a local business myself I understand how important it is for people to prioritize local businesses. Without our patronage, local businesses cannot thrive, and without them, we'd be reduced to only having large corporations.
What has been your proudest accomplishment?
It's hard to say. Being featured on PrinceGeorgeNow is a pretty proud accomplishment for me.

Danny Bell. He's a great teacher and he works very hard for the local music scene. He seems to be quite well-known by the community and justifiably so.
