Meet Becky! Becky was born in Penticton, grew up in New Westminster and now is back and settled down with her family here in Penticton. She enjoys being outdoors whether it's hiking, swimming, skiing or climbing and spending some quality time with her family.

Where are you from and how long have you lived in Penticton?
Born in Penticton, grew up in New West from age 4-20 then back to Penticton to stay!
Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My Partner Chad and my girls, they make me happy!
What is your favourite local store in Penticton and why?
Oh goodness, too many to name! I can't pick a favourite.
Describe yourself in one word.
Positive.
If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Costa Rica! Beautiful country, beautiful people and yummy food!

What is your favourite activity in Penticton?
Soccer.
What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
Hopping into a strangers vehicle when I thought it was mine!! OOPS!
What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
Being a part of the top 40 under 40 a few years ago. It felt great to be recognized along with some amazing go-getters in our community.
Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
Walking and biking the KVR with my grandma and picnic beach lunches with my family and close friends.
Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
Currently pregnant with twins, my volunteering has come to a stop, however, we sponsor a child in Guatemala. With my business, Par-T-Perfect, we provide in-kind donations whenever we can to help with events. A few we have done recently or upcoming are, Giants Head Out Door Learning Centre, MS Walk, Fire Smart Family Day, Walk so Kids can Talk, Healthy Kids Day, Child Advocacy Centre, Discovery House. We love to help out whenever we can!

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
Oh, that's a tough one, probably feed the world so there are no more starving children or people.
Where would you sneak away to in Penticton to spend some time alone?
Hiking on one of the many trails. I wouldn't be alone, I'd have to bring my dog!
Where would you like to see positive change in Penticton and why?
I would like to see the homeless situation eliminated. The drug and theft problem has gone out of control in the past 5 years. Penticton is so beautiful and I think addressing these issues and helping people get back on their feet would be helpful for everyone.
What do you think makes Penticton great?
The beautiful outdoors and 4 seasons we get. Hiking, skiing, swimming, climbing. So many great things to do.
What are 3 things on your bucket list?
1. Travel More
2. Volunteer Part time when I retire
3. Have a big community thank you party!

Why did you get into/start this business?
Because I love kids and fun!
What is the goal of your business?
To create lasting memories for each child we encounter.
What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
Starting a business with no business experience!
If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
Most things would be the same but looking back, there are a few changes I would make to be more prepared.

"Focus on the positive."
Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
As a small business owner myself, I think it is very important to shop locally. We are helping members in our community put food on their tables. We need to focus on helping our community and small businesses rather than shopping online.
What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Becoming a mom!
