UPDATE: Hwy 5 now fully open after earlier vehicle incident

(UPDATE: Jan. 18, 2020 @ 12:42 pm): Highway 5 is not open in both directions after an earlier vehicle incident.

Drivers are warning that the incident has resulted in delays and congestion.

DriveBC is reporting that Highway 5 is closed northbound due to a vehicle incident just outside of Hope.

The incident is located north of Othello Road.

An assessment is in progress, and heavy delays and congestion is expected.

Drivers are reminded to watch out and move over to let crews through who are making their way to the scene.
