    UPDATE: Hwy 1 now open west of Revelstoke

    (Update: Jan. 19 @ 11:30 am) – DriveBC has announced Hwy 1 has re-opened.

    (Original story: Jan. 19 @ 10:30 am) – A vehicle incident near Revelstoke has closed the Trans-Canada Highway in both directions near Revelstoke. 

    According to DriveBC reports of a jack-knifed semi at Big Eddy Rd, just one kilometer west of the city, prompted the closure.

    An assessment is currently in progress and the estimated time of re-opening is set for 11:30 am, however, that time may be subject to change.
