Even though you might be spending the majority of the day at home, that doesn't mean you can simply ditch your routine.
It is important to establish a daily routine to optimize your productivity during the day.
The Morning: 6 am- 12 pm
Start the day off on the right foot by making your bed and changing into an outfit that is comfortable.
It's important to do this as it would be the same as getting ready for work on a regular day.
If you are working from home make sure to set up a designated working area, and no it probably shouldn't be from the comfort of your bed.
Instead opt for an area of your home that lets in a lot of natural light, move around your furniture to create the perfect office away from work.
For productivity purposes, face your desk away from the TV or any distractions, occasional petting of the dog is allowed.
Throughout the morning make sure to take breaks, make yourself a healthy snack, a cup of coffee and even do a few reps walking up and down the stairs if possible.
It's important to keep the blood flow moving throughout the day.
The Afternoon- 12pm- 6 pm
After lunch, go for a stroll around your neighbourhood.
Be sure to practise social distancing and walk in the more quiet places in town or in the forest.
Fresh air will allow you to clear your mind and distance yourself from everything that is going on.
Your mind will be clear as you focus on finishing up the remainder of your work for the day.
The Evening- 6pm- 10pm
Spend the evening learning a new skill from painting, a dance routine or even a new language.
It is important to keep your brain stimulated so you don't get bored.
This time can also be used to challenge yourself.
Dust off the cookbooks or search online for a recipe you have always wanted to try but never had the time for.
If your pantry allows it, try cooking a Boeuf Bourguignon or a Cordon Bleu.
Light a few candles and participate in one of the many live yoga streams on Instagram and Facebook.
This could give you the opportunity to learn a new skill and to wind down from the day.
Spend a few hours Facetiming your family and friends, share new ideas, catch up.
We are never truly alone in this connected world.
Go to bed early, so you are well rested to have a productive day tomorrow.
