Today at approximately 10 a.m. Prince George RCMP received a report of a home invasion that occurred at a residence on the 700 block of Patricia Boulevard.

At around 5:30 a.m. an unknown female gained access to the home through an unlocked window.

The female made her way into the home and into the bedroom where the lone resident slept.

According to police, the suspect began to cuddle the elderly female resident and woke her into a fright.

The resident told the intruder that she had to leave and escorted her to the door without further incident.

RCMP are concerned about this incident and would like to identify the person responsible.

"Just because no one was hurt, doesn't mean that this isn't serious," says Cpl. Craig Douglass, spokesperson for the Prince George RCMP.  "Anyone that knowingly breaks into someone's home while they sleep, has no regard for other people or their property.  We need to locate her."
