  • Highway conditions for the Southern Interior

    If you're travelling out of town today, take caution on the connector.

    DriveBC is reporting slushy and slippery conditions on Highway 97C from Trepanier Creek Bridge to Pennask Summitt.

    From Highway 5A to Merritt, conditions range from compact snow to slippery sections.  

    The Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt is expecting about 5 cm today and another 5 cm tonight.

    Freezing rain was a big concern on the roads last night. Use caution this morning and be sure to check DriveBC for the latest travel advisories.

    Those slushy and slippery conditions are in effect for portions of Highway 33 and Highway 97.

    In the central Okanagan, temperatures will hover around plus 3. Expect clouds with a chance of flurries later today.
