According to DriveBC, Highway 97 has been reopened and reduced to single lane alternating traffic.
The closure was due to a fatal collision that took one life and sent another to the hospital in critical condition.

Due to a vehicle incident, Highway 97 is closed in both directions 15 km south of Prince George.

According to DriveBC, assessment is still in progress.
There is currently no estimated time of opening.
A detour has become available through Buckhorn, Lund, Bendixon and Holmes Rd.
The detour will be closed to commercial traffic.
