Carson Wetsch opened the scoring late in the first period when he fired a shot that slipped past Carter Esler.
Less than a minute later, Hiroki Gojsic’s wrister shot gave Kelowna a 2-0 lead.
After neither team found the back of the net in the middle frame, Tomas Poletin extended Kelowna’s lead early in the third period.
The Chiefs then broke up Harrison Boettiger’s shutout bid, but that was all they would get as Wetsch scored on an empty net to seal the 4-1 win.
The Rockets will now have a couple of days off before hosting the Prince George Cougars on Wednesday.
