The poor conditions we’ve been seeing on BC Interior highways is expected to continue. 

Environment Canada says that a frontal system has stalled over southern BC, and a steady feed of moisture from the southern Interior has brought copious amounts of snow to many highway passes. 

Winter storm warnings are in effect for Highway 3, the Okanagan Connector, and the Trans Canada Highway. 

Numerous highway closures are in effect, and people are advised to consider alternate travel plans until conditions improve.

Heavy snow will continue this afternoon. Additional snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are possible by late afternoon. 

Environment Canada says that the snow will finally end later this afternoon or evening.
