  • Golfers are still swinging as Hawaii’s Kilauea erupts

As you've likely heard, there is a giant volcano currently erupting on Hawaii's largest island.

The Kilauea volcano began erupting two weeks ago and an active explosion even occurred on Thursday.

However, just yesterday several golfers were photographed sneaking in a quick nine with a plume of ash behind them.

Kilauea has had serious implications on Hawaii with spewing lava having claimed at least 26 homes.

According to The Weather Channel, lava from the volcano has spread around 387,500 square feet so far.

However, it was made clear following today's eruption that no more golfers will be sneaking in a quick nine holes.

“I’m 99% sure the course is closed,” said Danielle Tucker, of The Golf Club radio show in Hawaii.
