  • Gaga is first female to perform at Wrigley Field in 100 years

    It's hard to find a time when Lady Gaga wasn't in the spotlight for breaking the norm in some way or another.

    Whether it's getting attention for her steak-infused fashion, her array of performance costumes, or advocating for LGBTQ+ rights – she's been breaking barriers since her first album, The Fame, was released in 2008.

    Her latest accomplishment took place Friday night at the famed Wrigley Field in Chicago. 

    Part way through her Joanne World Tour, Lady Gaga made history by being the first female performer to ever headline at the park.

    Gaga's had quite the year. Her performance at this year's Super Bowl LI gave her an Emmy nomination.

    She saved the day by filling Beyonce's last-minute cancellation at Coachella this spring.

    Over the years, Wrigley Field has had some major headliners perform, including Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Green Day, Pearl Jam and more.

    While the ballpark has only had performers in the last 12 years, the last time women stormed the field was when they stepped up to bat while the men were at war.

    It was a big night for Gaga and she was honoured to be there.

    Gaga fans can stay tuned for the worldwide release of her documentary, Gaga: Five Foot Two, coming to Netflix this fall on September 22nd.
