This mama dog is ready to find a loving home of her own after her puppies were recently placed with families.
Stella is about 2-years-old and weighs about 62 lbs. She is currently in a foster home, who report that she is a lovely girl who “plays hard and sleeps harder!”
Paws It Forward
She adores a game of fetch and is adorably enthusiastic! She also loves belly rubs, being brushed, lounging in the shade and hanging out with her foster sibling.
Now that Stella doesn’t have puppies to take care of, she is eager to learn! She is a quick study and will give you her undivided attention! She is quickly learning manners on the leash, but can still pull at times. She has also learned to go to the door to let her foster family know that she has to go. She is not crate trained at this time, as her foster mom is home with her!
Stella has only been around children between the ages of 6-9-years-old, and although she does well around them she may still bark as she is unsure. She may just need more time to get used to things that are new to her.
One thing she seems sure about is that she hates items like rakes and shovels, so her new family should be aware of this sensitivity.
Paws It Forward
She has been exposed more to other things that scare her such as lough motorbikes, cars and lawn mowers, and has shown some improvement.
Her foster family is very impressed with how far she has come!
Stella gets along well with her doggy sibling, and her foster family’s two pot-bellied pigs. She has also met a few cats, which ran and hid from her—but Stella did not chase them which is a good sign!
