Sophie is hoping to find her furever home!

This 2-year-old Husky / Labrador Retriever is currently at the SPCA in Duncan, waiting to find a loving home.

She’s a total sweetheart, and a friendly and affectionate companion who adores people once she gets to know them.

Sophie loves being around her people, playing and spending time outside. She will greet you with enthusiasm, and knows how to sit, shake a paw and walks well on a harness. 

She may enjoy having a doggy friend, as she has shown positive interest in other dogs. She had puppies last year, and played well with them too.

According to the shelter, Sophie lived the first part of her life primarily outside so she may still need some work on house training.
Also noted is her anxiety around thunderstorms, which can cause her to be destructive. Her new family will need to provide comfort to her during storms to help her out. She may also exhibit some destructive behaviour when left alone.

An ideal home for Sophie would include a patient and supportive owner, frequent exercise and playtime and positive reinforcement training.
