Paddington is a happy-go-lucky dog who is working on his figure as well as some manners. 

Paddington loves human interaction. He is very sweet and food-motivated. He adores his cozy beds and would love a peaceful home and lots of new smells – where he can ease into retirement. He is looking for a foster-to-adopt home in the Nanaimo region.

He is a very strong dog and has very limited recall and leash-walking skills. He requires a strong owner who is able to handle his large, bear-like strength on walks.

Paddington lived around other animals in his previous home but can be reactive to other dogs and would likely do best as the only dog in the home. He has moderate energy and lived most of his previous life outdoors.

Paddington came to the SPCA with a bit of a hot-spot on his tail, a mild skin infection, a small mass on his left hip, and a broken canine tooth. He is currently on medication and is awaiting dental surgery. While the veterinarian isn’t concerned about his tail or hip mass, it is something his future family should monitor and be aware of as he enters his senior years (he is estimated to be between 4-8 years old).
