This sweet little lady is a 10-year-old Border Collie / German Shepherd. She is currently at the Victoria SPCA while she looks for a loving family.

Maggie may be a bit reserved when she first meets new people, but once she warms up to you she’s a true cuddle bug. Her favourite thing to do is get scratches behind the ear. She loves the comfort and security of a loving home.

While she has a big heart, she has some specific needs. She’s shown a friendly disposition towards dogs of similar size, making her a potential playmate for another furry friend. However, due to her prey drive, she wouldn’t be a good fit for a home with small resident dogs or other small animals.

She also has food sensitivities, so she’ll need to be on a limited ingredient diet.

It’s also worth noting that Maggie has mild separation anxiety, and may howl when left alone. She thrives on human companionship and would benefit from a patient and understanding owner who can help her feel secure.
