Fresh powder hits Big White, more on the way

Big White Ski Resort got another 7cm of fresh powder over the last 24 hours, and more is expected today.

The forecast is calling for an additional 2-5 cm of snow, so if you don't make it up to the mountain today, make sure you head up tomorrow.

Sunday also happens to be Australia Day, which will be a big celebration up on the slopes.

Tonight, you can enjoy a fireworks display in Happy Valley from 8:15 pm to 8:30 pm. While your at it, take in Carnival Night, where there will be free games, popcorn, candy floss, local celebrity Loose Moose!

Over the last week, the resort has seen 43 cms of snow, putting the alpine snow base at 286 cms. There are 14 lifts open serving 116 runs.
