  • Fog advisory in effect for Coquihalla

Expect poor visibility if you’re travelling the Coquihalla from Merritt to Kamloops today. Environment Canada has a fog advisory in place and says near zero visibility is still expected in some areas.

“A stagnant weather pattern is giving rise to areas of dense fog along the highway. The fog is expected to persist through today and tonight and then likely dissipate Tuesday morning,” the warning says.

“If travelling, be prepared for areas of near-zero visibility.”

The advisory is also in effect for the Connector from Merritt to Kelowna. Weather in the mountains can change suddenly, resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Road conditions are available through Drive BC.
