The first annual Kelowna Comic & Collectibles Expo (KCCExpo) has taken over Parkinson Recreation Centre this afternoon.
Equipped with celebrity guests like Ed Brisson, Doug Savage, and the Million Dollar Man, those who attend are in for more than just your average comic book hunt.

Attendees on the hunt for merch inspired by their favourite anime, movies, or books will be in for a real treat, as over 50 artisan vendors from Kelowna and around Canada are spread out showcasing their skills.

In addition to the abundance of booths to browse, there is also an indoor activity room with board games and virtual reality as well as outdoor historically accurate role-playing with a band of Vikings.

However, the best part of any comic con has to be the Cosplay. The event not only brings in Cosplay experts like Yelaina May of Calgary, attendees also show off their talent for recreating signature character looks.

The best Cosplayer will be awarded the champion title in the Cosplay contest that takes place at 5 p.m.

With booth and activities spread throughout a large portion of the centre, there is something for everyone to get excited about. Don’t worry if this is the first you’re hearing of it, the event is going on until 6 p.m. today and has an admission fee of $10
