A small wildfire that sparked in the backcountry behind West Kelowna this afternoon was quickly actioned by crews.
The BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) reports that the fire is now being held at 0.1 hectares.
That means it’s not expected to spread beyond its current perimeter.

The fire popped up on the BCWS map shortly after noon.
It was located just off the Jackpine Main Forest Service Road, northeast of the Telemark cross country ski trails.
According to the BCWS, the fire is suspected to be human-caused.
