  • Evening delays to be expected on Highway 97 in North Kelowna

Some minor evening delays can be expected on Highway 97 in North Kelowna until the six-laning project is complete.

Drivers are advised of occasional slowdowns from Highway 33 to Edwards Road between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Additional work on Sexsmith Road, Findlay/Loyd Road and Penna Road will happen during the day between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Delays and short closures will occur throughout the remainder of the project, which is expected to be completed this summer.

The Highway 97 six-laning project includes 4.5 kilometres of widening to six lanes, and improvements to four intersections. This work will improve safety, increase capacity and efficiency and will better connect Kelowna's downtown core with surrounding areas.
