A man is dead following a collision that took place this morning on BC Hwy 97 ner Clinton. 

According to Cpl Mike Halskov, at 9:35 am, Clinton RCMP, Traffic Services, and Emergency Services responded to a single-vehicle fatal crash near Big Bar Road. 

Upon arrival, police discovered that a northbound transport truck left the highway, rolled, and killed the driver. The cause of the incident remains under investigation. 

Police confirmed the man killed was from the area and in his 40s. At this time, there is no evidence to suggest any criminality as a causal factor. Road and weather conditions were good at the time of the collision.
