A dried mango product has been recalled after it was discovered to contain sulphites that are not declared on the label.
Uncle T Food’s I’m Real brand of dehydrated mango could be dangerous to people with a sensitivity to sulphites, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency said.

Those with a sensitivity to sulphites who consume the product could suffer a serious or even life-threatening reaction.
There have already been reported reactions associated with the consumption of the product, the agency added.
The agency also said the recall was triggered by a consumer complaint.

It is now conducting a food safety investigation that could lead to the recall of more products.
The recall applies to British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario.
