A motorhome fire in Oliver has claimed the life of a man’s dog.
The Oliver Fire Department was called to the scene at 1074 Pine Ridge Dr. around 8:40 am today.
A fire, which started when a towel fell onto a hot plate, fully engulfed the motorhome, which was the man’s primary residence.
He only suffered minor injuries while trying to put out the fire, but unfortunately his dog did not make it out alive.
Investigators confirmed the fire was not suspicious.
