  • Cseking In with Renée Warren of We Wild Women

In this episode of Csekin In, Nikki Csek recently sat down with Renée Warren of We Wild Women.

The duo discussed Warren’s entrepreneurial journey and how she found her way back to the world of PR, this time with a focus on working with women.

From the start, Renée Warren has been an entrepreneur.

Growing up in Ontario, Warren, alongside her sister, ran a successful seasonal restaurant for a few years before graduating from university, travelling and then eventually landing in Toronto.

Not long after, Warren dived into the world of social media, becoming an early user of Twitter (now known as X).

Eventually, in the late 2000s, Warren’s name was put on a map after she was awarded as one of the top Twitter influencers in Toronto.

“It kind of led into another thing (and) another thing, then I started working with startups,” said Warren.

Warren then teamed up and formed a large PR agency and not long after she had both her sons.

After moving to the Okanagan during the pandemic, Warren was at a crossroads in her career and looking for the next step.

While working as a business coach, Warren attended a Tony Robbins event nearly two years ago and realized she wanted to get back into the world of PR – thus the start of We Wild Women

The idea was born in a pub in England and she took inspiration from her previous experience running a PR agency, but this time she wanted to focus more on female entrepreneurs.

“If you have a full understanding of your “why” behind this business and the purpose of what it is you’re doing – things fall into place,” said Warren.

“It takes ten times longer than you think, probably costs ten times more than you think too, but if you understand that it’s going to be hard and it’s going to be a grind for longer than you can anticipate, you’re good.”
