This is some breaking news!

  • Cseking In with Meghan Cortese

In this episode of Cseking In, we sat down with Meghan Cortese, a woman who has built a substantial career as a Realtor since entering the commercial real estate market in her early twenties.

Since entering the real estate industry, Meghan has gained a positive reputation for her knowledge and experience in the retail, office, and industrial industry all across Canada.

Meghan discusses her introduction to the real estate industry, stating that it was her dad who encouraged her to get into commercial real estate in the first place. Due to the state of the economy in 2009, when she was in her early twenties and just beginning her journey, she faced discouragement from others about her vision.

However, being the driven and hard-working woman that she is, Meghan managed to keep a positive attitude and find harmony between her personal journey and her career path.

“Balance is a word that is used so often as we think about how to achieve an attractive lifestyle, and I’m starting to reframe that in that it’s more about integration. I find, more so at this point in my career, it’s less about what I do and it’s become more of who I am”.

Meghan also touches on the changes to the pressures she felt at the beginning of her career versus how she feels now that she is established.

“I’ve almost felt more pressure as I’ve advanced in my career. You know, in those early years there’s so much grit and grind and you almost have your blinders on, it’s like there’s nothing to lose and everything to gain. And then you reach this point and you realize how much responsibility you have for people you care about a lot”.

Watch the full episode below to listen to the wisdom Meghan shares from her experience to becoming a well-known agent, her journey through the real estate industry, and her perspective on life in the Okanagan.
