The two sets of seven set lines were found on the ice at Carp Lake Provincial Park.
Those lines – along with “numerous” burbot and rainbow trout – were seized after officers followed snowmobile tracks to an angler.
The angler was given an appearance notice. Charges are pending.

“This is not the first time [officers] have seized too many fishing lines in this area,” officials said.
“Please read all regulations before heading out.”
