  • Commonly Used Forest Service Road to Close Periodically

The public is being advised that a regularly used forest service road north of Kamloops will be closed intermittently beginning on February 29th.

The Jamieson Creek Forest Service Road (FSR) will be periodically closed between kilometre four and nine for periods up to two hours until March 18th, 2016.  The FSR is located approximately 20 km northwest of Kamloops in Tsintsunko Lakes Provincial Park.

The road is used to access Beaverhut Road and popular trails within the park. The Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations staff will be working on upgrading and widening a portion of the road to improve public safety.

This road is part of B.C.'s 55,000-kilometre forest service road network that provides access to British Columbia's backcountry.
