This is some breaking news!

  • City parks reopening due to water levels receding

The City is reopening three parks just in time for the weekend!

Paddlewheel Park, the Island in Cottonwood Island Nature Park and the heritage River Trail from the Cameron Street Bridge to Taylor drive are now open.

These areas were closed earlier last month due to rising water from the Fraser and Nechako Rivers.

Levels have been steadily dropping which has allowed the park areas and trials to officially reopen!

Fingers crossed this weekend rain doesn’t reclose them!
