Yesterday, Mayor Lynn Hall and members of the Council attending a ground-breaking ceremony to mark the official construction of a major condominium and parkade unit going up in the city.

Last year, City Council approved the partnership agreement with AT&T to allow the company to construct a parkade and condos adjacent to City Hall.

This project promises to attract hundreds of residents to live in the city centre.

The parkade will include over 290 underground parking stalls with an additional 64 surface spaces.

The condominium is set to be an assortment of 153 single and two bedroom condos.

Many amenities will be offered to residents including a gym and barbecue pit.
