  • Check out today’s positive local initiatives

During this uncertain time, it is paramount that as a community we stick together and help each other through thick and thin.

Using the #kelownastrong on our social platforms, we are bringing you stories and initiatives that radiate positivity in our community.

Buy reclaimed pallet wood furniture and 50% of the proceeds go to a local charity

Jeff Collins is self-employed and owns J.Collins Handy Workz, he is currently building furniture from reclaimed pallets and pallet wood.

He finished the first coffee table and is now working on the second, He has also ordered components to build at the least a few more.

The coffee tables are being built to fine furniture standards with careful sanding and clear coating with a durable finish.  Some of the pieces will be stained dark.

Jeff wants to spread the positivity so he will donate 50% of the proceeds to Third Space Charity so that people who cannot afford counselling or coaching can have their session covered.
