Two words: Spring sales

Spring in Toronto means that the markets are back and now you can go shop till you can't carry anymore at the bohemian Kensington Market. It's full of vintage and eclectic shops and delicious foods. In fact, it's rumoured that you can find any type of food at the Kensington Market. Along with independent stores, vendors, restaurants, bars and specialty shops, your trip to Kensington will show you the world's just one tightly knit community.

One little tip for Kensington is to take the transit. The streets get pretty busy this time of year and parking is hard to find. 

After you've shopped the clothing and snacks at Kensington, go walk through the charming Evergreen Brick Works Saturday Farmers Market. At this market, you'll get to pick up some of the best seasonal foods from around Toronto.

Now that you've got your vintage outfit and fresh produce, go see Toronto's largest indoor flea market, Dr. Flea's Flea Market. There are over 400 vendors who bring incredible deals for you to collect. You'll find everything from rare comics, clothing, jewelry, spices and furniture to astrologists, religious items and more! Before you go, claim your Free Flea Dollars.

Spring sites to see

Spring is a nice time to see the turquoise water at Scarborough Bluffs, as seen above. The water is as magnificent as the waves washing against the shores in Vernon and the views are unique to the region. Spanning 15 kilometres across Lake Ontario's shore, the bluffs are a significant geological feature that you simply must see in person. Just be careful and stay where it's safe. The edge of the bluffs can become unstable.

A couple of other sites worth seeing are St. James Park, which is a perfect little place to see spring blossom next to the stunning St. James Cathedral in downtown Toronto, as well as Allan Gardens, where you'll get to see six different greenhouses in one indoor botanical garden. From tropical vines to hibiscus and cactus, this is a great place to go while on vacation in Toronto.
