The CRD is asking some East Sooke residents to boil their water until further notice.

A boil water advisory for the Wilderness Mountain Water System after it was compromised due to high turbidity water originating from the surface water source, Wilfred Reservoir.

The CRD says that, as a precaution, the advisory will be in effect until flushing and water samples indicate the water quality no longer poses a risk to public health.  

When given the all clear, affected residents will be notified. 

During the water advisory household tap water may be disinfected by boiling it vigorously for one minute.
