The Kamloops Blazers were out to prove they were the best team in WHL on Wednesday and an offensive explosion against the Seattle Thunderbirds may have done just that. 

After taking a 1-0 lead into the first intermission, Kamloops would score the next nine of 10 goals to dominate the Thunderbirds 10-1. 

In the first period, Logan Stankoven scored his sixth of the season to give the Blazers the lead. Seattle was only able to muster eight shots in the frame. 

Connor Zary's goal would end up being the game-winner minutes into the second. After former Blazer Keltie Jeri-Leon tied the game, Zary, Ryan Hughes, Martin Lang, and Zane Franklin would all score. 

Zary completed the hat-trick in the third period with Franklin adding one more, and Montana Onyebychi scoring the Blazers' final two goals. 

Though he didn't need to be stellar, Dyland Garand stopped 19 of the 20 shots he faced for the win. Kamloops also went 3/7 on the power play, a hair under 50%. 

The win keeps the Blazers six points up on the Rockets for first in the BC Division. They are only four points back of the Prince Albert Raiders for top spot in the WHL.
