The Kamloops Blazers were in action over the weekend, this time with two weekend games in Prince George. 

Kamloops didn't come to play either day, losing twice in the process. The Blazers' first game finished with a score of 4-3 while the second game ended 5-3. 

On Friday, Kamloops hammered Prince George in shots, putting 44 on the board compared to Prince George's 18. Rayce Ramsay gave up three goals on nine shots, which put Kamloops in an early hole. Orrin Centazzo scored once and Zane Franklin scored twice to tie the game, PG put one home with ten minutes left to win the game. 

Saturday was more of the same as Kamloops continued to hammer shots without finding the back of the net. The Blazers outshot the Cougars 51 to 20 en route to the loss. Franklin, Ryley Appelt, and Connor Zary all managed to score but it wasn't enough to stop the Cougars. 

Dylan Garand had arguably his worst start of the season, stopping just 15 of 20 shots on the night. With the two losses, the race tightens, but Kamloops remains atop the WHL's BC Division at 15-9. 

Up next, Kamloops hosts the second-best team in the WHL on Wednesday. Puck drop at the Sandman Centre against the Edmonton Oil Kings is Wednesday at 7 pm.
