If you're driving through Kelowna Thursday morning, you likely noticed the hint of sun and blue sky bursting through the haze.
It might be hard to believe, but the smoke is clearing and unveiling Kelowna's trademark picture-perfect summer scene that's remained hidden for a while.

The Thursday forecast for Kelowna calls for sun with a high of 28 C and winds gusting up to 20 km/h by this afternoon.
It's also one of the first forecasts in a while that hasn't listed 'widespread' smoke as the main event.

However, it's possible that the wind might blow some smoke through the Okanagan later this afternoon.

The maps below show the areas (in green) where smoke coverage exists.
The first photo shows Kamloops as having fairly wide smoke coverage, as of Thursday at 9 a.m. and Kelowna being mostly in the clear.
By 3 p.m. on Thursday, the smoke is expected to clear and reveal more blue sky in the Kamloops area.
However, it may blow some smoke over the Lake Country area this afternoon.
By 8 p.m. this evening, smoke should dissipate just in time to see a few stars tonight.
Kelowna may have a few more hazy days, but Thursday's sun and blue sky is worth celebrating.
