Basran’s proclamation for Food Bank Day

Mayor Colin Basran recently proclaimed Saturday, September 16th, 2017 as BC Thanksgiving Food Drive for the Food Bank Day.

The Central Okanagan Community Food Bank serves over 9,000 pounds of food every day to members of the community and those in need.

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, Food Banks are needed more and more resources and donations.

The City of Kelowna encourages those able to donate non-perishable food items to the Food Bank, to do so on September 16th.

Volunteers will be able to pick up food donations from your porch to deliver them to the food bank.

So make sure you save up your canned goods for BC Thanksgiving Food Drive for the Food Bank Day!
