In order to prepare for the launch on June 4, B.C. Bus North will be accepting debit and credit as valid payment options on all rides.

Customers will need to reserve seats ahead of time by calling the B.C. Bus North call centre to ensure drivers are aware of the passengers needing to pay debit.

One-way fares will range from $35 to $45, per route, depending on the length of travel.

The province will fund B.C. Bus North for 12 months, during which time the government will work with local leaders to evaluate the demand for the service.

The goal is to develop a long-term transportation solution that works for the province and those living up north.

Visit the B.C. Bus North website to view all route schedules.
