  • Aurora Cannabis announces another $100M deal with BC company

Fresh off finalizing the largest deal in the history of Canada’s cannabis industry, Aurora Cannabis announced another massive acquisition on Tuesday.

The Alberta-based company will now acquire Anandia Laboratories in an all-share deal estimated at $115 million.

Based in Vancouver, Anandia Laboratories provides research and development services as well as analytical testing for clients licensed under Canada's medical cannabis rules.

"Both Anandia and Aurora are strong believers in research and science-based solutions. We are confident that joining forces will enable us to rapidly advance cannabis science for the benefit of consumers, patients and growers, and further establish Aurora as the global leader in the cannabis industry," said Anandia CEO Dr. Jonathan Page.

Aurora has been gearing up in anticipation of the legalization of recreational marijuana in Canada expected later this year.

The company announced its $3.2-billion all-stock purchase rival cannabis producer MedReLeaf last month in the largest-ever deal in Canada's cannabis industry.
