One of the Okanagan's best attributes could be the slow transition between all four seasons.
As summer turns into fall, folks often have ample time to switch their tires and go on a few last hikes before the harshness of winter hits.
Alberta, unfortunately, is sometimes not so lucky.
A low-pressure system moved over much of southern Alberta early Monday morning, bringing snow and strong winds that forced the closure of multiple highways.

Meanwhile, in the Okanagan, Monday saw a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 14 C.
The region will continue to experience mild temperatures into the weekend, with a chance of showers on Saturday and sunny skies forecast on Sunday.
