Breaking News:

This is some breaking news!

  • A breezy afternoon will provide a slight break from the Kelowna heat

It’s been quite the hot stretch in Kelowna.

Air conditioners have been turned on all over the city and the lake is getting some serious action as Kelownians try to beat the heat.

Today, Mother Nature might provide a small bit of relief with some breeze conditions in the afternoon, according to NowMedia meteorologist, Wesla English.

“Enjoy a warm and mainly sunny day for our valley with highs in the upper 20s,” she explains. “A lack of any significant systems over our region will keep precipitation to a minimum.”

“A slight change in the weather pattern will bring breezy conditions this afternoon.”

As of 7 a.m., it’s already 16°C under partly cloudy skies with light winds.

Other things of note include the UV index at seven, which is high, and the pollen index is moderate.
