On Sunday afternoon hundreds gathered at Mission Recreation Park to participate in the 37th annual Terry Fox Run.
More than just a walk in support of cancer research, the event is about carrying on Terry Fox’s legacy of finding a cure for the disease.

Welcoming all who wished to attend, the event played host to many who have been touched by cancer in one form or another, and the determination to conquer it was palpable.

Participants had the opportunity to mingle, bet in a silent auction and enjoy live music before they embarked on their trek, as well as listen to the story of Terry Fox and his Marathon of Hope, a tale most Canadians never grow tired of hearing.

Lead by Terry’s Team members dressed in vibrant red, the more than 700 participants ran, biked and walked through the arches to help finish what one amazing Canadian started back in 1980.
