The WHL announced on Wednesday that in the 30th year of the WHL Scholarship, 342 graduate WHL graduate players have been awarded scholarships for the 2022-23 academic season.
Twenty-four former Rockets will be utilizing their WHL scholarship this semester:

Established back in 1993-94, over 7,500 former players have used the WHL scholarship program, representing an investment of over $33 million by WHL clubs.
“On an annual basis, it is very gratifying to see our graduates take advantage of the WHL Scholarship," said WHL commissioner Rob Robison. "The WHL not only produces many of the world’s finest hockey players, but just as importantly, highly-educated students who through the WHL Scholarship program move on to very successful business and professional careers.”
Every season that a player plays in the WHL, they receive a fully guaranteed scholarship to a post-secondary school of their choice. There is no requirement to play university hockey to qualify, although several do, with 18 of the 24 former Rockets playing for either a U Sports, ACAC, or BC intercollegiate hockey league team.
