More than 4,000 demonstrators gathered outside of Vancouver’s City Hall over the weekend in response to a planned alt-right protest in the exact same location.
The rally was a counter protest of racism, hate, and islamophobia. The group, Stand Up to Racism Metro Vancouver, organized in response to another rally in support of anti immigration in Canada by the World Coalition Against Islam (WCAI), joined by the founder of The Cultural Action Party, Brad Salzberg.
Along with over 4,000 demonstrators, the rally brought out many signs with messages and symbols of tolerance and diversity.
