Nanaimo RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the culprit of a hit-and-run incident that occurred at the Shell station at 199 Nicol Street in the early morning of Dec. 30.

According to the report, a woman caused significant damage after backing her vehicle into the exterior of the building. She subsequently went inside the station and spoke to the clerk and took responsibility for her actions.

However, she failed to identify herself and a licence plate was not obtained.
