Best of Kamloops is almost back, and the time is almost here to nominate all of the outstanding businesses that make the Tournament Capital such an incredible place to live!
Now’s your chance to show your favourite businesses some love and appreciation.
Here are all the details you need to know before the nomination period for Best of Kamloops 2022, brought to you by Valley First, a division of First West Credit Union, begins.

Nominations open Monday, May 2nd, 2022 at 10:00 am
Nominations close Friday, May 20th, 2022 at 3:00 pm
The voting period opens Monday, June 6th, 2022 at 10:00 am
The voting period closes on Monday, June 20th, 2022 at 3:00 pm
What are the Best of Kamloops 2022 Awards?
The Best of Kamloops Awards are our way of helping you give your favourite businesses some well-deserved props! Whether it’s your favourite place to eat, your favourite place to grab a drink or your favourite place to go on an adventure, this is your opportunity to give them the recognition they deserve.
By nominating your favourite businesses, you’ll give them some free promotion, boost morale and make them feel like the important part of the community they are.
How does it work?
Between May 2nd and May 20th, locals like you can nominate your picks for the best businesses in town in a number of categories like Best Pizza, Best Coffee, etc. You can nominate businesses in as few or as many categories as you want!
A maximum of 10 nominees from each category will make it to the voting round. If more than 10 nominees are received in a category, the top 10 most nominated will move on to the voting round.
This means the nomination period is extremely important. Even a single nomination can be the difference between making it to the voting round or not.
Voting begins on June 6th! During the voting period, members of the community will decide who’s going to claim the Bronze, Silver, and Gold medals in their respective categories. Those lucky businesses will not only get bragging rights, but they will also receive digital badges and potentially have a Best Of story written about them!
So make sure you participate in the nomination period—your participation could make or break your favourite business moving on to the voting period!
