“It is with deep regret that Rebellious Unicorns Production Company Inc. (RUPC) announces the cancellation of Peak Pride at Big White, scheduled for April 1-5, 2020,” said a statement from organizers.
The company said that anyone who purchased tickets to any events at Peak Pride will receive a refund, however they warn that the process may take some time and they ask for patience as they work as quickly as possible.
“This announcement aligns with the directives from the Government of Canada and the Province of British Columbia regarding non-essential travel and social distancing measures to combat the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus),” the statement added.
“RUPC strongly feels that it is prudent to defer to the public health experts in this matter. While this is disappointing, the health and safety of our attendees, performers, sponsors, and the public at large is the top priority.”
Any accommodations arrangements for Peak Pride will have been made directly through Big White Central Reservations; they may be contacted directly at 250.765.8888, toll-free on 1.800.663.2772, or by email cenres@bigwhite.com.
