Women’s ski team has $20K worth of gear stolen in Vernon

A women’s ski team from South Korea is without their gear after an overnight theft in downtown Vernon.

According to RCMP, the gear was stolen on the night of Dec. 2, from the team's bus parked in the 4200 block of 32nd Street.

The thieves made off with two bags of equipment containing ten pairs of women’s skis and other gear with an approximate value of $20,000.

Vernon RCMP are asking anyone with information regarding this theft to call RCMP at 250-545-7171.

Tipsters can also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or leaving a tip online at www.nokscrimestoppers.com.
