  • Weekend Need To KNow!: Dec. 6 to 8, 2019

    From charity runs and sports games, to craft markets and the biggest community events in the city, it is hard to be bored while being in Kelowna.

    If you’re looking for a way to make the most of your weekend, we are here to tell you about the notable events and activities coming to town. 

    Here is your Weekend Need to KNow!

    DunnEnzies winter Family Festival

    The crew at the DunnEnzies Mission location is asking the community to step up and help a young girl who is currently facing a ferocious battle with Cancer.

    In hopes of garnering $10,000 to cover the costs of traveling for treatment, the pizza parlor is hosting a fundraiser this Friday night at 6 pm.

    The event will feature live music from Tiger Moon, a 50/50 draw, silent auction, a s’mores bar and even photo ops with Mr. and Mrs. Clause. 

    Tickets are $30 each and include an appetizer Buffett, drinks and admission. Click here to get yours.

    Homegrown Holiday Night Market

    For those of you who will be tackling holiday shopping this weekend, you can get a head start on Friday night at the Innovation Centre.

    The Homegrown market series will present its holiday night market from 6 pm to 10 pm and offer up a wide variety of local, artisan vendors. 

    In addition, you can expect to hear some rad mixes by Kelowna’s own Maple Jordan as well as snacks and drinks in abundance!

    Craft Culture at Prospera Place

    Speaking of holiday shopping, Kelowna’s biggest craft fair will return this Saturday and Sunday to Prospera Place.

    With over 180 artisans on site, you can bet you will be able to find something for everyone on your shopping list and much more! Admission is $5 person and kids under 12, get in for free.

    A part of the proceeds will be donated to Mamas for Mamas, and if you do brave the early crowds, the first 50 people through the door on both days you’ll be headed home with a sweet swag bag.

    The fun will run from 10:30 am until 7:30 pm Saturday and from 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday.

    URBA Light Up

    Celebrate the spirit of the season this Sunday with a host of fun activities that will sprawl throughout the community of Rutland.

    Starting at 1 pm, Plaza 33 will be hosting some free family fun events such as face painting and crafting, Santa is also set to visit the Rutland Library.

    And across the street, you can witness the official Light Up at 5 pm in Roxby Square. Before the tree begins to sparkle you and the family can enjoy carols, hot cocoa and chilli, a scrimmage with the Kelowna Chiefs and more.
